ACTIVITIES

These activities meet early learning standards. Parents can be use them to help their children learn at home. Childcare providers can use them as part of their curriculum and daily activities. If anything seems too hard or too easy please feel free to modify the activity to help children be successful. Learning should be fun and never forced.

ART

Art activities can help children with creativity, increasing their attention span, brain development, fine motor skills, and expressing their emotions.

FINE MOTOR

Fine motor skills are finger and wrist movements. They are necessary for eating and writing. Fine motor skills include: using scissors, ripping, folding paper, etc.

GROSS MOTOR

Gross motor skills are arm and leg movements. They include: walking, balancing, kicking, swinging, bending, reaching, pulling, etc.

LANGUAGE

Language activities help children with receptive and expressive language. They are necessary for communication.

MATH

Math activities help children learn about numbers, colors, shapes, patterns, and more.

MUSIC & DRAMATIC PLAY

Music is important for auditory hearing. Dramatic play helps kids with problem solving and improves their imagination.

HEALTH

Health activities include mental and physical health. Nutrition activities are part of having a healthy body. They help children learn healthy eating habits at a young age.

SAFETY

Safety activities help children learn how to keep themselves safe. They also teach emergency preparedness.

SCIENCE

Science activities help children understand the world around them. Science includes: cause and effect, asking “Why,” living things, and many more.
