I have owned and operated a successful childcare business for over 15 years. I have a degree in Early Childhood Education, plus over 350 hours of additional training in all core competency areas of early childhood. I have training in: growth, development, learning environment, curriculum, observation, assessment, families, communities, health, safety, interactions with children, program planning, professional development, leadership, conscious discipline, love and logic, CACFP training, nutrition, brain development, ASQ developmental screenings, breastfeeding, etc. I also have several certificates unique to childcare programs. I am a mother and have cared for children with special needs and typically developing children from infants to 12 years old. I have also worked with many children’s agencies and developmental specialists over the years.

After earning my degree I realized that many parents, including myself, have tried numerous strategies to try and control children. Of course, those did not work well. When I started learning why children act the way they do, everything got easier. I created this site for parents and childcare providers to find quality information with real life examples. My goal is to help adults understand children to create a better society overall.
